BIOGRAPHY of Hair Stylist:
Monte Forrest
Born and raised in Tulsa, the well manicured gentleman drawls with a heavy accent... "I'm just an old goat roper from Oklahoma!"
When asked how he became a hairdresser, Monte explained that Barbering was in his family, and "I really like to work with my hands... to take something and improve on it."
With an eye for aesthetics and penchant for detail, Mr. Forrest excels in creating works of beauty in hairstyling, especially the nearly lost art of Vintage hairdressing from the different eras.
Voted "Louisiana Hair Stylist of the Year in 1970's"
Competition is in his blood.... and he is a winner! Displayed throughout his home and office are the many trophies he's collected over the years. The recreational ones mingle with Professional awards received from the Corporate world of Salons, to Competition Hair Events where the styles are based on the art of form and precision of technique.
Energetic and focused, he has owned three Hair Salons, then later managed and helped open salons for several large hair styling chains in the Gulf Coast region.
In his leisure time, Monte loves to repair vintage dirt bikes for himself and others as he avidly races Post Vintage Motocross and Vintage Cross-Country competitively since the 1980's.
Monte Forrest is available for on-site hairdressing appointments with individual clients, including film and commercial work.
